The best time to visit Lithuania is from late May to late September, when temperatures range between 15–25°C, making it ideal for sightseeing, outdoor activities, and enjoying the Baltic coastline. Summer, from June to August, brings long daylight hours, pleasant weather, and lively festivals, July being the nicest but this is also the peak season. The off-season from November to March is cold, with temperatures dropping between -5 to -20°C, making it perfect for winter landscapes, Christmas markets, and winter sports. However, shorter days and harsh winds can make travel less comfortable. Lithuania experiences unpredictable weather year-round, so packing layers, a waterproof jacket, and insect repellent is always a good idea.
