This DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Cleveland Downtown - Lakeside received positive reviews for its cleanliness, helpful and friendly staff, particularly the shuttle driver Carl. The hotel restaurant was accommodating when a reservation needed to be changed due to a tournament delay. One drawback mentioned was the strong odor of marijuana in the bathroom ventilation system. The rooms were described as well-kept and clean, with the only complaint being a lack of electrical outlets. Overall, guests had a great stay and enjoyed the amenities and services provided.

The bathtub was horrible I wouldnt step in it and definitely wouldnt sit in it. The tub was black and when we turned on water black shreds came out so we just didnt use it. Showered and bathed when we got home.

A brief stay which served its purpose.

Loved the warm cookies and the courtesy shuttle to the bus station.

Staff could have been a little more knowledgeable about local information. The rooms heating was not easy to adjust and we did notice damp carpet around the heating unit. The hotel is very dated and would benefit from a complete renovation.

May never visit Cleveland again after this hotel stay!

It was close to lots of attractions.

Oh, where to begin..The hotel: The quilt between the sheet and coverlet was a filthy, dirty biohazard, the sink drained slow, the toilet barely flushed, the fridge didn't get cold because it needed to be defrosted and the light in the hall was so dim that you couldn't possibly see in the closet. The Bar and Grill: Worst waitress ever! She was so rude that we left and ate our travel snacks for dinner. The Wired Coffee Bar: This was NOT STARBUCKS COFFEE! And no espresso. What?! We didn't bother staying for the breakfast. Really, stay somewhere else. This hotel is terrible!

Never again, any Doubletree anywhere.

Location

Never was told that our room wouldnt be straightened up unless we requested it! $25 for breakfast?!?! Should have been complimentary as it was every place we have stayed in recent months. Knew going on there dead a charge, but expected $16. Only one of us had bfast.
