Very good

Overall, I was very happy with our stay at El San Juan. The pool, beach and casino were great. Every place we ate in the resort was served by friendly staff willing to take care of us. A fun family vacation is in the books.

Some parts of the facilities seemed tired.

Overall property was very nice

I booked a King room. During booking on the website it specifically stated the room would feature a city view. The hotel clerk gave me a room on the third floor. Upon opening the beautiful curtains of the window I was greeted by a concrete wall offering no views of anything at all.

Exceptional

The experience was memorable for me and my family. I have been staying at el San Juan since 1961.

The breakfast buffet was excellent. I couldn't wait for my family members to experience it. Staff was so acomodating, friendly and always smiling! Much appreciated.

Only bathroom facility was in main lobby.

The pool & the ocean. Plenty of clean towels, cold water, and a pool table. Housekeeping was top-notch.

Balcony furniture was disgusting, would not even sit on it. Thought tea kettle was broken because electric cord was tucked into counter hole but no connection to plug it in. When told front desk, we were handed another, which was moldy, and had to figure out there was no connection on our own. Thought there would be more salsa music at pool.

Beautiful facility! Everything was beautiful and clean.

I was told the room I booked was non-existent. The listing said deluxe king bed suite with pool and ocean view. When I received my room, it was a beautiful suite, but the view was street and rooftop. I was told by front desk the only suites with pool and ocean view were double queens. I showed the attendant the listing. I'm assuming she got on the phone with a manager. They could not accommodate me with the listing description that I had reserved. I was offered a king bed with ocean/pool view, not a suite. It was beautiful, but disappointing when that is not what I reserved.

Disappointing

Expensive and overpriced for mid quality.

Pool was nice and beach was beautiful

Booking.com does not put the full amount even though they claim to. Be prepared to be hit with multiple extra fees at check out. My total was $1000 more than booking quoted me, and Im jumping through hoops to get it back. I can say with confidence; this hotel is not worth the price. I had a room with broken AC for the first two nights even though they claimed to fix it. Finally they switched my room. I did not cause a fuss, stuff happens. But at the end of my stay when I saw the actual price of the hotel, they should have done much more to make my stay more comfortable at almost $600 a night. I feel like I was scammed.
