For a Radisson Property it was drastically lacking in both service and comfort. Everything from the check in to the stay was sub standard to say the least. We were in Cardiff looking at the university so convenience and comfort were key. We got in at 2:30/2:45 soaked from being caught in the storm. We had 2 superior rooms booked and were told that we could have 1 as the other was not ready. When I asked why as we were evidently soaked and needed to change out of our wet clothes - I was rather tersely told that check in was at 3pm. My husband had been parking the car in the car park across the road and came in literally 5min after us. He asked a different male attendant when the room would be ready and was given another room key and told that the other was not ready. In actual fact it turns out that BOTH were ready as both attendants had given us a room key separately. I was also told that no rooms were available next to each other - as I had requested these at the time of booking. It turns out they were next to each other. The heating in the rooms DID NOT work. It was freezing cold and the temp just would not adjust. No one bothered to attend to it. Rooms had a musty smell. This hotel would be best placed to take some lessons from the rest of the Radisson Group. We spent the next night @ the Radisson Blu in Durham which was a great experience overall. Such a difference in standard
