Very good

The location was ideal for an overnight stay and the staff very friendly

Did not have Breakfast

There was a continuous noise in our room (suspect it was an extract fan). My wife did not like the fact that the shower did not have a hand piece. Not everything was on the menu, no specials available. Although I used the express checkout to pay for our meal it appears to not work too well.

Disappointing

I would never stay here again.

Breakfast was very good, and food overall was good.

CLEANLINESS- I never stayed in the bedroom of the so poor level of cleanliness; dusts- you can paint and don't look down at the skirting boards, or side bed table. The dirty towels from the previous guest was left in the bathroom, WC- urgently need a deep clean, carpets NOT hoovered. The place of so much potential to be great- cleanliness of the room spoiled my stay.

Very good

OK but could be better.

I understand why Christmas Day breakfast was provided in a bag. But stretching it a little to say it was a continental breakfast when it consisted of one croissant a panna chocolate and yoghurt each. It wasn't fresh either.

Location and comfortable bed. nice towels and lovely welcome.

Disappointing

The food was good

Bathroom was not clean, pink mould in the shower The room was too hot, heating was on maximum when entering the room, I turned the radiator off and opened the window but the radiator kept giving heat. There was a buzzing noise all night (mechnical) so the quit countryside was not so quit.

Very good

Lovely hotel. Very welcoming of pets.

Very nice rooms, and ambiance. Nice restaurant and food. Fireplace downstairs.

There was an issue around charging the wrong credit card, that was eventually resolved, but took a few days of emails to sort out.

Warm, welcoming, clean and cosy.

Lovely place. Nice feel about it. Staff that looked after us were amazing. The lad that showed us to our room and served our table was brilliant. He said he was fairly new but he was knowledgeable and polite. Couldnt have helped us any more. Food was exceptional. We had a wide range of options including the Christmas menu. Unsure if he was the landlord but the main man behind the bar was so nice. Friendly and welcoming.

Id have given a 10, but the comms werent great. We had a cancellation of an event and I wanted to talk through potential options. Three messages sent and none replied to. However, the experience we had was super nice.

Passable

A few problems with the room but friendly staff and great food

Good location and the room was a good size. Dinner and breakfast was very good. All the staff with the exception of one were friendly, polite and helpful.

The heating was broken in the room and it was freezing. The hotel sorted this by placing 5 standing / blow heaters in the room. The shower was great but the body wash dispenser was completely empty. This was also rectified when I let staff know. As we were going out and would not be back until after midnight we asked how we could get back into the building and were told to use the second key on the key ring wed been given. There was no second key, so they had to give us their spare key. It took 2 different members of staff, then finally my partner until the key could be taken off their bunch of keys. This took about 10 minutes, meaning the rest of our party had already left for town before we could. Although all 3 of the issues with the room were sorted, it would have made for a much easier stay if these niggles hadnt been there in the first place!
