There is no provision for a visa on arrival in India for Mexicans, so obtaining an appropriate visa before entering the country is mandatory. The Embassy of India in Mexico City offers Regular/ Paper Visa services for various types of visas including tourist visas, business visas, employment visas, etc. This comprehensive guide outlines the procedure, documents required, and important contact details to assist you through the process seamlessly.

How to Apply for an Indian Visa for Mexico?

Step 1: Start by filling out the visa application form online at Indian Visa Online Portal. The application form is available in English only.
Step 2: Upload a digital photograph as per the prescribed specifications.
After completing the form, the system will generate a PDF application with a unique 12-digit Web File Number starting with ‘MEXMV’.
Step 3: Print the completed application form.
Step 4: Submit the printed form along with the required documents and visa fees to the Embassy of India in Mexico City at the scheduled appointment time.

Visa Processing Time & Validity

Processing Time: A maximum of 3 working days
Visa Validity: Single & multiple entry for upto 1 year and multiple entry for upto 5 years. 

Document Requirements for Indian Visa

  • A printout of the online application form signed by the applicant.
  • Two recent color photographs with a white background (5.08X5.08 cm or 2”X2” inches).
  • The original passport and a photocopy of the first page. The passport must have a minimum validity of six months from the date of application and at least two blank visa pages.
  • Any previously issued Indian visas and their photocopies.
  • Original and copy of Mexican Identity Proof (FM-2 or FM-3 for foreign nationals).
  • Copy of air and accommodation bookings.
  • Financial standing proof (original pay slips for the last three months, personal income tax return, or original bank statement for the last three months certified by the bank).
  • Original fee receipts for the applicable visa fee deposited in the respective bank accounts of the Embassy.
For financially dependent spouses: original and copy of the Marriage Certificate duly apostilled by SRE.
For financially dependent children: original and copy of the Birth Certificate duly apostilled by SRE.
For financially dependent parents: original and copy of the Birth Certificate of the main applicant duly apostilled by SRE.

Indian Visa Fees for Mexicans

The applicable fee must be deposited in two different banks. Please bring the original fee payment receipts with your application.
