This visa is for recreation, sightseeing, short-duration medical treatment, casual business visits, or visiting friends and relatives. The e-Tourist Visa offers several benefits. It facilitates short-term travel planning by allowing online applications, providing convenience to travelers. Additionally, it offers flexibility, making it useful for those transiting through India or bringing family members along on business visits.

Application Process for Indian Visa from Philippines

  • Online Application: Apply for the eTV online on the Indian Visa Online portal.
  • Print the Online Form: Once applied, the applicant will receive an email. The traveler should print this form.
  • Application Submission at Indian Embassy in Philippines: Submit your application along with a recent color photograph (2 x 2 inches, white background). Visa applications should be submitted at the Embassy’s Consular & Visa Office.

Visa Validity, Processing Time & Entry Points

  • Validity: Entry into India must be within 30 days from the date of ETA approval. Stay in India is valid for 30 days from the date of arrival.
  • Processing Time: 3-4 working days
  • Frequency: The eTV can be availed twice in a calendar year.
  • Entry Points: The eTV can be used twice in a calendar year and is available at nine international airports: Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, and Goa.
When should I apply for my India eVisa?
  • 1-year and 5-year eVisas: You can apply for your eTourist Visa up to 120 days before your intended arrival date in India, but no later than 4 days before your arrival.
  • 30-day eVisa: You should apply at least 4 days before your departure. For this visa, you can begin the application process up to 30 days before your planned travel date.

Documents Required for Indian Visa for Filipinos

  • Photographs: Two recent color photographs (2 x 2 inches) showing a full frontal view of the face against a white background. Photos should be pasted on the application form, not stapled.
  • Passport: Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay in India. Include a photocopy of the passport.
  • Return Ticket: A copy of the confirmed return ticket must be attached to the visa application.
  • Financial Proof: Recent bank statement or sponsorship letter.
  • Accommodation: Proof of hotel bookings or other accommodation arrangements.
  • Copy of Vaccination Certificate (Optional)
Non-Filipino Applicants: If not residing in the Philippines, provide reasons for applying for a visa from Manila.

Additional Information
Re-Entry Restriction: The two-month gap between visits to India on a Tourist Visa has been lifted except for nationals of Afghanistan, China, Iran, Pakistan, Iraq, Sudan, Bangladesh, foreigners of Pakistani origin, and stateless persons. These individuals need permission from the Head of the Indian Mission and must register with the FRRO within 14 days of arrival in India.

Important Advisory for Payment of Fees for Consular Services (Effective from 1 April 2024)

To simplify the consular process for applicants, fees for various consular services can now be deposited directly into the Embassy of India’s METROBANK Account. Here are the key points:
  • No Cash Payments at the Embassy: Starting from 1 April 2024, no cash fees of any kind will be accepted at the Embassy for any consular service.
  • Bank Deposit for Fees: Applicants must deposit their fees directly into the bank either before or on the same day as their visit to the Consular office. It is advised not to deposit the payment more than 48 hours before visiting the center.
  • Document Submission: Applicants should submit their documents at the Consular office along with the fee deposit slip.

Document Submission Requirements:
If any document is missing, the applicant must submit it within the service's specified timeframe. The application will not be processed without all necessary documents.

Courier Service:
Applicants can opt for the courier service (LBC) by paying an additional PHP 200. However, using the courier service is mandatory for Passport services.

SU-SWAGATAM (Visit India) Mobile App

The Government of India has launched the SU-SWAGATAM Mobile App to provide integrated services for foreign nationals visiting India. The app is available on Google Play Store and App Store.

Visa Services: Request for extension of visa, residential permit, and exit permit from FRRO/FRO.
