How to Apply for an Indian e-Visa from Poland?

Eligibility Criteria
Tourist e-Visa: For sightseeing, recreation, meeting friends/relatives, short-term yoga programs, etc.
Passport Validity: Your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of arrival in India.
Sufficient Funds: Applicants must have sufficient funds to support their stay in India.
Return/Onward Ticket: A return or onward journey ticket is required.
Non-Eligibility: e-Visas are not available for Diplomatic/Official Passport holders, persons of Pakistani origin, and certain other categories.

Step 1: Gather Required Documents

Before starting the application process, ensure you have the following documents ready:
Passport: A clear scan of the biographical page.
Photograph: A recent color passport-size photograph with a white background.

Step 2: Visit the Official e-Visa Website

Go to the official Indian e-Visa website: Indian e-Visa

Step 3: Complete the Online Application Form

  • Fill in the Details: Complete the online application form with accurate personal information, travel details, and visa type.
  • Upload Documents: Upload the scanned copy of your passport and photograph. Ensure the files meet the specified requirements.
  • Review: Carefully review all the information before submitting the form to avoid any errors.

Step 4: Pay the Visa Fee

Payment Method: Pay the visa fee online using a credit/debit card or other available payment methods. 
Submit the application and note the application ID for future reference.

e-Visa Types and Fees for Polish Citizens:
30-day e-Visa: April to June: $10 USD
30-day e-Visa: July to March: $25 USD
1-year e-Visa: $40 USD
5-year e-Visa: $80 USD

Note: Bank charge of 2.5% will be charged additional on applicable e-Visa fees.

Step 5: Receive e-Visa via Email

Processing Time: The processing time for an e-Visa is typically 3-5 business days. Alternatively you can track your e-visa on the same website by clicking on "check your visa status"
e-Visa Document: Once approved, you will receive the e-Visa document via email. Print a copy of the e-Visa to carry with you during your travel.

Important Notes

Entry Points: The e-Visa is valid for entry through designated airports and seaports in India. You can find the list of designated airports and seaports under the FAQ section of the Indian E-visa portal
Validity: The e-Visa is valid from the date of issue, not from the date of entry into India. Ensure you apply for the appropriate visa type and validity period.
Extensions and Conversions: e-Visas are non-extendable and non-convertible.

How to Apply for an Indian Visa from Poland in Person?

Step 1: Complete Online Form

Complete and sign the form electronically via indianvisaonline.gov.in.

Ensure you have the following general documents ready:
  • Passport: Valid for at least one year with at least two blank pages. Scanned bio page of the passport. 
  • Photograph: One color passport-sized photo (3.5 x 4.5 cm, full frontal view).

Step 2: Book an Appointment

Schedule an appointment for visa submission via appointment.hcikl.gov.in/appointment.

Step 3: Submit Your Application at the BLS International Services Centre

Attend your appointment at the BLS Centre in person. Applicants below 12 years old and above 70 years are exempt from biometric enrollment. Submit your completed application form and supporting documents.

Step 4: Pay Visa Fees

Visa fees vary by visa type and duration. Payment can be made in cash at the BLS Centre in Warsaw.

Tourist Visa Fees:
  • Up to 1 year (Single/Multiple Entry): 398 PLN
  • 1 to 5 years (Multiple Entry): 795 PLN
Additional Charges: ICWF: 14 PLN
BLS Service Charge: 56 PLN
SMS Charge: 1.50 PLN
Courier Charge: 25 PLN
Emergency Visa: 160 PLN

Step 5: Track Your Application

Track your visa application status online at BLS Visa Tracking using your passport number.

Step 6: Collect Your Passport

After processing, collect your passport from the BLS Centre. You will receive notifications regarding the status of your application via email/SMS if opted for.
Document Collection: 14:30 to 17:00 hrs on all working days. Carry your passport/ID card during your visit.

Important Notes

Biometric Data: Required for applicants between 12 and 70 years old.
Special Permits: Required for certain restricted areas in India. Information available at the BLS Centre or the Embassy of India, Poland.
Visa Validity: Starts from the date of issuance, not the date of travel.
