How to Apply for an E-Visa from Spain?

Spanish passport holders can apply for an e-Visa, which has been available since November 3, 2015. The e-Visa scheme requires eligible Spanish nationals to apply online at least four days before traveling to India. Note that the visa is not granted on arrival at the airport.

Steps to Apply for an E-Visa

1. Visit the E-Visa Website to begin your application.
2. Complete the application form accurately. You can view a Sample e-Visa Form for reference.
3. Pay the Visa fee
4. Submit the application online.
5. Once approved, you will receive an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) via email.
6. Ensure you carry the passport mentioned in the ETA when traveling.

• 30-day e-Visa (April to June): $10 USD
• 30-day e-Visa (July to March): $25 USD
• 1-year e-Visa: $40 USD
• 5-year e-Visa: $80 USD

How to Apply for a Regular Indian Visa from Spain?

For those who prefer or need to apply for a regular visa, VFS Global in Madrid and Barcelona is authorized to accept applications for all categories of visas and collect fees/service charges. They also offer an optional service to return passports by courier.

Steps to Apply for a Regular Visa

1. Visit the VFS Global Website for detailed information and to book an appointment.
2. Gather all required documents, including a printed and filled online visa application form.
3. Submit your application in person at the designated VFS Global office in Madrid or Barcelona.

• Original passport valid for a minimum of 6 months (or for the validity requested, if greater) and having at least 2 blank visa pages. Include 1 photocopy of the bio page (name, photo, signature).
• Two photographs conforming to Indian Government norms as per specifications mentioned on our website.
• A photo service complying with Indian norms is available in our offices.
• An Indian Government visa application form duly filled in online and signed on pages 1 and 2.

Indian Visa Fee for Spain 

• VFS Global Spain SL service charge for handling your application: 19.69 €
• Additional fee charged by the Indian Government for each visa application to fund the Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF): 3 €
