Innsbrucker Nordkettenbahnen is a state-of-the-art cable railway system that transports visitors from Innsbruck's city center to the Nordkette mountain range, the southernmost chain of the Karwendel Alps. This journey offers a seamless transition from urban landscapes to alpine vistas, culminating at the Hafelekar peak at 2,256 meters above sea level.

Designed by architect Zaha Hadid, this funicular departs from the Congress station near Innsbruck's Old Town, ascending to the Hungerburg station at 860 meters. The ride offers views of the city and the Inn River. From Hungerburg, passengers transfer to this cable car, which ascends to the Seegrube station at 1,905 meters. This plateau is a hub for hikers, mountain bikers, and offers panoramic views of Innsbruck and the Inn Valley.
