Pulau Carey, Kuala Lumpur Overview

Nestled in Selangor, Carey Island (Pulau Carey)is a great place for a family outing. Located 40km southwest of Kuala Lumpur, Pulau Carey is known for the Mah Meri Cultural Village. The Mah Meri are a subgroup of the Senoi people and known for their woodcarving and expressive masks. To explore the cultural village, try to contact them before visiting as they mostly cater to larger groups.

Carey Island houses several other attractions like oil plantations, a fishing pond, and marvelously carved statues. If you wish to admire the colonial style of architecture, you can visit Hatter's Castle whose history dates back to the 1920s. Bus: You can take a bus from Pasar Seni to Terminal Bus Port Klang P701.

Car/Taxi: If you are travelling from Kuala Lumpur, you need to take the E5 expressway. Exit from Highway 5 and drive towards Banting.

Train: You can take a direct train from KL Sentral to Klang.
