The Reason Behind the Decision!
As per the sources, Aditya Thackeray, Maharashtra’s Tourism Minister, proposed this to make Mumbai’s nightlife more happening. The decision was taken in a meeting recently called by Aditya Thackeray. Sources confirm that Police Commissioner Sanjay Barve and Municipal Commissioner Praveen Pardeshi were also present in the meeting.The Reach Of the New Law!
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Mumbai Police have permitted establishments falling under non–residential areas and gated communities to remain open round–the–clock. At least 25 Shopping Malls and many other shops and restaurants will be able to implement this decision. However, the Shop owners will get to decide the dates or timings for the same.Places Implementing This Decision!
So far, Oberoi Mall in Goregaon, R–City Mall in Ghatkopar, Atria Mall in Worli, Growel’s 101 in Kandivali Phoenix Market City in Kurla and High Street Phoenix in Lower Parel have agreed to implement this decision.
