Now at just 23 years old, Seema Gurnani a.k.a Panda Reviewz has taken over India and is soon to take over the world!
So we interviewed Miss. Seema so you can all get to know this young entrepreneur better!
What was the turning point where you decided to become a travel and food influencer?
I always had a passion for travelling and love for food, but the hobbies turned into my profession when I decided to quit my job at a very reputable company. I wanted to quit because I realized that I was not meant for corporate life and wanted to live a life which made me happy, and my happiness was in discovering new places and travelling. So I decided to start blogging about my travels and food discoveries and share my experiences.
What is your favourite thing to do outside of your life in social media?
I like to hang out with my friends and cousins on weekends, and I also love watching movies.
If you were to give someone advice who is thinking about getting into food blog influencing, what would it be?
Stay consistent: Once you start blogging make sure you post regularly and make sure you plan your content in advance. Also, its still a very new profession and not widely recognized beyond metro cities. So only do it if you are passionate enough and are ready to work hard.
How do you go about choosing a restaurant to review? What are the parameters that you use to assess the quality of the food in the restaurant?
I look at many aspects of the restaurant, a few of them would be -
1) Hygiene
2) Veg /Non-Veg kitchen separation
3) How courteous the staff behaves.
4) Taste of food
5) Is the food healthy? or filled with chemicals/colour/ajinimoto etc..
6) The authenticity of the dish, recipes and not to forget, the TASTE! :)
You have a lot of Indian food videos and blog content. Have you considered expanding to destinations abroad? If not, why?
Yes, I want to travel and cover the entire world soon! I'll start with Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia in 2019 and Saving up for Europe in 2020.
And the last question, what is the best thing that has come out of Pandareviewz?
I have learnt a lot of new things about life, people and places, Everywhere I go, I get to learn their culture, the methods of making their signature dishes, the beauty and nature of that place, the history, and all the love and support I've received from the people, all these things keep inspiring me for my next destination
Now time to finish this tete-a-tete with a little small talk!
