1. Baku to Gobustan by Car
There are multiple car rental services available in Baku. It can cost you around 70-90 AZN per day, depending on your choice of car. The fuel charges are not included. Make sure to fill up the car's fuel tank before departing from Baku, as gas stations may be less frequent along the route. Make sure to have a navigation app installed on your phone before embarking on the journey. Although Google Maps is a good option, the Waze app is preferred by the locals in the region. The Gobustan Museum can be easily accessed but to reach the mud volcanoes you will need to drive another half an hour from the museum. The road to the mud volcanoes can be rugged and rocky.

2. Baku to Gobustan by Cab
You can book shared or private taxis from Heydar Aliyev International Airport or Taxi terminals across the city. The taxis can also be found outside the Baku International Bus Terminal. Many tour services also provide guided day trips to Gobustan. These tours often include popular attractions like the Bibi-Heyat Mosque. You can also book cabs from Bolt and Uber to travel to Gobustan from Baku.

3. Baku to Gobustan by Bus
There are coach buses and minibusses called marshrutkas running from Baku to Gobustan. They can be boarded at the International Bus Terminal in Baku. From Baku, catch the Bus no. 125 from the main terminal. This bus will drop you off at Bina Shopping Center. From Bina Shopping Center, board Bus no. 195, which will take you to Gobustan village. You can pay for bus 125 in cash or with a BakuCard but keep some change handy as bus no. 195 only accepts cash. From the Gobustan House of Culture, you can take a taxi to Gobustan National Park or Mud Volcanoes. You can also take a short hike to cover this distance. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and sun protection gear.
